Hi all

I've had this problem for quite a while now that Ventrilo running version 3.0.1 freezes while trying to login, it gives the message that the server
is ready to use. But when I connect it freezes at the: "MSG: Synchronizing" message...

I've tried restarting my router and after I've done that, I can log on. But that's quite annoying having to do that every single time -.-'..

I've searched Google for an answer, but I can't find anything else than people telling others to open ports, but.. Been there done that, no good...

So please, can anyone help? ^^

TJ out!

Well the guide to forward ports for Ventrilo for your router is linked at the buttom.

I don't know if you know it, but let's assume you don't know how to open your router configuration. As it says in the guide, open Internet Explorer
or Firefox, whatever you use. Then type in 192.168.0.1 - if that doesn't work, try 192.168.1.1 - if that doesn't work either, try right-clicking
your internet connection icon in the tray bar and hit status, then details. There you'll see an IP address after "Default Gateway", and that's the
IP you wanna use.

You will be promted with a box asking you for user name and password. If you havn't changed it, the default is:
Username: admin
Password: 1234

When you're in, you wanna hit General Setup - then NAT.
Then you click on Port Forwarding - then you check the box called "Enable Port Forwarding".
You then write your local IP address in "Privat IP", can be found in the status, details box mentioned earlier.
In Type, you just pick "Both".
In Port Range you can either type 3784 - 6100 or you can add 3784 - 3784 then another with 6100 - 6100.

And that'll be it, hope it works out for you mate
